My name is Brianna and I run The Beauty Assortment. Whether you are here because you are a committed reader (then for that I thank you!) or because you have just stumbled upon my blog, welcome! Please look around and hopefully you find something that you enjoy!Where it all started:
When I was little (maybe six or seven) my best friend and I got permission to spend the night in her older sister's room while she was away for the night. This was a huge deal when we were little because we looked up to her and thought she was so awesome. We spent the night going through her makeup bag (every older sister's nightmare) and giving each other makeovers, including cutting each other's hair. Needless to say our parents were not pleased and we never got to do that again. But since that age I have always loved makeup and how glamorous it can truly make you feel. I started this blog because of this passion.What it's all about:
This will mostly be a beauty blog, but I hope that we can all get more out of it than just that. I hope to include multiple different types of posts other than makeup or just beauty itself. This blog will contain product reviews, makeup tips, and things I learn along the way no matter what the topic.
I'd be lying if I said I was even close to being a pro at this kind of stuff. I'm actually closer to a novice than anything. Even though my skills and knowledge aren't that extensive, the passion is still there. My hope is that this blog will help both the reader and myself learn a little something new every time I post. I think of it as a kind of symbiotic relationship where we both benefit.

Like I said at the beginning of this page, my name is Brianna. I live in the United States. I am a fun-loving girl. I tend to look on the brighter side of things most of the time. I always try to find the good in a situation.
I think it is important for me to express that personally I believe beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and appearances. There is no right or wrong, despite trends. Whoever you are and wherever you come from, you are beautiful. I could rant about this for hours, so I'll save you some reading time and blog about it at a later date.
Product Reviews:
When I find something that I would like to pay money for, no matter what that item is, I almost always look to reviews of the product or service first. This is the deciding factor for me. I am not one to shell out all my money for something I didn't even look twice at. This is exactly the reason why I will/would never lie in my product review posts. I would find it immensely irritating to look at a fake review and spend money on something that didn't even live up to the expectations. As I say this though, I do want to point out that certain things work differently for different people. So my suggestion (which also happens to be advice I follow as well) is that when looking at reviews, look at more than just one person's opinion. One person's opinion never encompasses everyone's.
